In X-Cart versions 4.5.5 and later, you can choose a security profile for your store. When you install X-Cart using the installation wizard, the step Preparing to install X-Cart database provides a setting that allows you to choose between Evaluation/Playground and Live store profiles.
The Live store profile provides some security restrictions aimed at protecting sensitive data from unauthorized access.
