LiteCommerce:Problems During Images Import
There might be cases when you have chosen to store the images in the file system, but specified a wrong directory in the "Directory where images are located" field, for example entered the absolute path instead of the path relative to the installation directory.
Another case might be that you have specified a correct directory, but different from the previously entered directory. At this moment LC can handle only one location specified for the directory where images are located.
If the images are not referenced and displayed correctly, you need to perform three steps to fix the problem:
1. Move all the images to the database
Using the 'Image files' section of the 'Maintenance' menu, you can specify where you want different kinds of images to be located. The table in that section lists various image file groups and shows where each one is stored and how many files are present in it. Click on the 'Move to database' button to move the corresponding group of images from the web server to the database.
The ones that cannot be moved, will stay on the file system.
2. Change the images directory
In the 'Image files' section of the 'Maintenance' menu, use the 'Images directory' field to enter the relative path to the directory which you want to contain all of your image files.
After you changed the images directory name, you can repeat the first step - move all the images to the database, to make sure that all the image files get moved, even the ones that could not be moved before.
3. Move the images from the database back to the file system
Use the 'Image files' section of the 'Maintenance' menu. When moving images from database to file system, the images are created in the folder which you have specified on the step 2. '??' in the names of image files are replaced with the corresponding category/product identifiers.
