If you need to install a LiteCommerce store for testing or development purposes on a temporary URL (or on your local PC) , you can use a development license certificate.

You can generate and download the development license in the 'My Licenses' section of your X-Cart Account. There is a "Developer certificates" link next to the license. In this section you can generate the development license for your test store. Select the necessary domain name in the "Certificate domain:" dropdown menu or type it in the "New domain" field and click the "Generate certificate" button. A new development certificate window will appear. Copy the whole text to the "License certificate:" window and use it for your cart (Admin area -> License) or during the store installation. Your license has two parts (customer information and license) and you should use the full text of the license (both parts).

Please note, the development license has two months expiration period.
