If you do not have Windows environment or prefer to perform the installation in the command-line (terminal) mode, follow the instructions provided below:

1. Upload and unpack LiteCommerce distribution files. The procedure is different for UNIX and Windows-based web servers:

  • If your server is UNIX-based and you can access it via FTP and use SSH: Upload the LiteCommerce distribution file 'litecommerce.tar.gz' to your server using FTP client of your choice, place the file in the desired directory within your web space, then unpack it with the following command:
tar -zxvf litecommerce.tar.gz
  • If your server is Windows-based or you have a UNIX-based server without access to the command line: Unpack LiteCommerce distribution using WinZIP or any other TAR-compatible archiver on your local computer. Upload the unpacked files to the server using FTP client of your choice. Place the files in the desired directory within your web space.
Note: If you use WinZIP to unpack the distribution files, make sure that 'TAR file smart cr/lf conversion' option in' Configuration' -> 'Miscellaneous' menu is disabled in order to ensure that binary files are not corrupted while unpacking.
Note: Please make sure you keep the directory structure during unpacking and uploading, otherwise some necessary files can be overwritten!

2. Launch your web browser and type the URL of LiteCommerce Installation Wizard in the 'Location' field of the browser:
